It's a purpose-built Tikka cheek riser — also called a cheek piece or cheek rest — that raises your cheek weld for scoped Tikka factory stocks, especially medium- and high-height mounts with larger objective lenses. Mount it with superglue or double-sided tape (not included — see below), dial in your preferred height, and you get a solid, repeatable cheek position every time you shoulder the rifle — with no drilling and no permanent modification.

How much does it raise your comb?

The riser lifts the comb 18–24 mm, and that range is adjustable — you set it, not us. This is a drop-comb Tikka cheek riser (also called a cheek piece or cheek rest), made for the Tikka T3, T3x and T1x OEM stocks.

How do I hold it in place to test the position first?
Use a small piece of tape folded back on itself (sticky side out), or a blob of Blu-Tack, to hold the riser on the comb temporarily. Shoulder the rifle with your actual scope and rings fitted and check where your cheek naturally lands — the reticle should simply be there when your head settles, without lifting or rolling. Slide the riser forward or back until it's right, mark the position, then bond it properly. Always find the position before you reach for the glue.

How does it attach to my stock?
You position it on the comb of the OEM stock, set it to your ideal cheek-weld height, then fix it in place with superglue or double-sided tape — no drilling. We personally use superglue: it holds really well and can be removed later if needed. If you prefer tape, pick one rated as removable — some heavy-duty double-sided tapes are very hard to get off.

Is the bond permanent? Can I get the riser off later?
No, it's not permanent — and yes, you can. A superglue bond holds firmly through recoil and normal field use, but it's breakable: with steady, patient pressure the riser will come away from the stock if you change scopes, rebuild your setup or sell the rifle. That's deliberate. The one thing to avoid is a heavy-duty double-sided tape not rated as removable — those can form a bond that's very hard to break without marking the stock.

Is the adhesive included?
No — we're unable to include adhesive in the kit, so you'll need your own superglue or double-sided tape. Both are available from any hardware store or supermarket, wherever you are in the world.

Why doesn't it screw on?
Because everyone's ideal riser position is slightly different, screw-fitting would mean drilling multiple holes in your stock to get the position right. Feedback from early customers was clear that nobody wants to drill an OEM stock, so the riser mounts with adhesive instead — no holes, and removable.

What scope mounts and objective sizes does it work with?
Optimised for medium/high mounts with 50–56 mm objective lenses. Low rings with a compact 42–44 mm objective are often fine on the factory comb; medium/high rings, a 20 MOA rail, or big glass are exactly where you'll want the rise.

Can I still remove the bolt with it fitted?
Yes — it mounts far enough back to clear the bolt, so you can strip and clean without removing the cheek rest.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Flat-Recoil is a raked wedge that adds length and sets the recoil pad more square to the bore line. Choose it if the pad sits at an angle in your shoulder pocket, or if you want a one-piece 30 mm.

Does it reduce recoil?
No part bolted to a stock reduces recoil energy, and we won't claim this one does. What it changes is direction: a pad sitting squarer to the bore line delivers the recoil straighter back into your shoulder instead of loading it into the comb and your cheek. That straighter push is what many shooters describe as "flatter" recoil. Our stock-fit and recoil article explains the mechanics.

Which size should I choose?
Set eye relief with your scope and rings fitted first, then judge the stock length. If it is clearly short, the 30 mm is the size most Flat-Recoil buyers have chosen. If it is only a little short, start with 10 or 20 mm. The fit checklist walks through the measurement.

Can I stack Flat-Recoil spacers?
Each size is a one-piece wedge, so you shouldn't need to. For every LOP spacer, use one spacer by default. Stacking any combination of LOP spacers can be done only in special cases, but a multi-piece stack does not create the strongest possible connection and is not our recommended default. If stacking is required, glue the spacer pieces together before final installation and use only the confirmed locating and fastening hardware for the setup. Contact us first if the stacked setup and hardware have not already been confirmed.

Will this fit a T3x ACE or a UPR?
No. The ACE and UPR use a different buttstock geometry and mounting pattern from the factory hunting stock.
