Common questions

Does the Nokka cheek riser fit my Tikka T3x, T3 or T1x?+

It is designed for compatible Tikka T3, T3x and T1x OEM stocks. For a T1x rimfire trainer or NRL22-style setup, check cheek height with your actual scope and rings first, then confirm product fitment before ordering.

Do I have to drill or permanently modify my stock?+

No. It mounts with double-sided tape or removable glue - no drilling and no permanent modification.

Why a drop-comb design instead of a straight riser?+

The drop-comb shape is intended to add cheek height while keeping your head position consistent behind the optic. It is a fit and cheek-weld aid, not a recoil-reduction claim.

Is a cheek riser useful for a Tikka T1x rimfire trainer or NRL22 setup?+

It can be, if the optic and rings put your eye above the factory comb. Set eye relief and cheek height first. The cheek riser is the product path for cheek-height issues on compatible factory-stock setups.

What if it doesn't fit or I'm not happy?+

Contact us within 30 days so we can help with the next step. Do not force the install if something does not line up cleanly.

Is this a Tikka T3x cheek riser or a cheek piece?+

Both names describe the same part. This is a drop-comb Tikka cheek riser, also called a cheek piece, made for compatible Tikka T3, T3x and T1x OEM stocks.

Will this fit my Tikka T3, T3x or T1x?+

It is designed for compatible OEM stocks on all three platforms. Confirm your stock and optic setup before ordering, especially if the rifle has a chassis, aftermarket stock or unusual ring height.

How does it attach to my stock?+

You position it at your ideal cheek-weld height, then mount it with double-sided tape or removable glue - no drilling, no permanent modification, and it can be removed later if you want to change your setup.

What scope mounts and objective sizes does it work with?+

It is a good fit for many medium-height mounts and 50-56mm objective lenses. If you're running ultra-high mounts or a low-30mm-ring setup, contact us first.

Do you ship internationally?+

Yes. Available shipping options and any duties/taxes are shown in cart/checkout before payment.

How much does the cheek riser raise your comb?+

It raises the comb 18-24 mm, and that range is adjustable. One adjustable cheek riser replaces the usual fixed Low/Medium/High pieces - dial it to your exact scope height instead of guessing which fixed part to buy.

Do I have to drill my stock?+

No. It mounts to your OEM Tikka stock with double-sided tape or removable glue - no drilling and no permanent modification.

Full details, specs & FAQ

Most Tikka T3x (and T3 / T1x) stocks ship with a comb height that works fine with iron sights — but mount a scope and you're craning your neck to find the reticle. That costs you time, consistency, and comfort on long sessions.

The Nokka Drop-Comb Cheek Riser fixes this. It's a purpose-built Tikka cheek riser — also called a cheek piece or cheek rest — that raises your cheek weld for scoped Tikka factory stocks, especially medium- and high-height mounts with larger objective lenses. Mount it with superglue or double-sided tape (not included — see below), dial in your preferred height, and you get a solid, repeatable cheek position every time you shoulder the rifle — with no drilling and no permanent modification.

How much does it raise your comb?

The riser lifts the comb 18–24 mm, and that range is adjustable — you set it, not us. That's the whole point: one adjustable cheek riser replaces the usual Low / Medium / High fixed pieces. Instead of guessing which fixed height to buy — and discovering it's 3 mm too low once the scope is mounted — you dial the cheek rest to your exact optic and lock it in. One part, your preferred height, no re-ordering.

Do I actually need a riser?

Quick gut-check based on how your rifle is set up:

  • Probably fine as-is: low rings with a compact 42–44 mm objective — the OEM comb often gets you close enough.
  • You'll want rise: medium or high rings, a 20 MOA rail, or a 50–56 mm objective. Bigger glass and taller mounts push the scope's centre-line up and away from the factory comb, so your cheek floats and your eye hunts for the reticle.

This cheek piece is optimised for exactly that second group — medium/high mounts and 50–56 mm objectives — bringing your cheek position closer to the optic so the sight picture is easier to find when you shoulder the rifle.

No drilling. Removable mount. No permanent modification.

Plenty of adjustable cheek risers make you drill your stock or bond a rail to it — a permanent change that tanks resale value and can't be undone. Nokka's cheek rest mounts to the OEM stock with superglue or double-sided tape. No holes, no permanent modification. Fit it in about 5 minutes, adjust it whenever your setup changes, and remove it later if you change your setup.

Fitting it — find the position first, then fix it

Step 1: trial-fit before you commit. Hold the riser on the comb temporarily — a small piece of tape folded back on itself (sticky side out) works well, or a blob of Blu-Tack. Then shoulder the rifle with your actual scope and rings fitted, close your eyes, settle into position and open them. If the reticle is simply there when your head lands, that's your spot. If not, slide the riser forward or back and try again. Five minutes here saves unsticking a glued riser later.

Step 2: fix it in place. Once you're happy with the position, mark it, then bond the riser with superglue or double-sided tape.

Adhesive is not included in the kit — we're unable to ship it with the parts — so you'll need a tube of superglue or a strip of double-sided tape from any hardware store or supermarket.

Our recommendation is superglue. As funny as it sounds, it works really well: it holds firmly through recoil and field use, and the bond is breakable — the riser can be worked off later with steady, patient pressure if you change your setup or sell the rifle. Double-sided tape also works, but choose one rated as removable: some heavy-duty tapes form a bond that is genuinely very hard to break, and that is the one mistake worth avoiding on an OEM stock.

Why not screws? Everyone ends up with the riser in a slightly different position on the comb, so a screw fit would mean drilling multiple holes in your stock to get it right. Early customer feedback was clear that nobody wants holes in an OEM stock, so the riser is designed for adhesive mounting instead — no drilling, and removable.

Why a drop-comb design?

A drop-comb shape adds cheek height while keeping the contact surface comfortable behind the scope. It is a fit and cheek-weld aid for shooters who have mounted taller optics on Tikka factory stocks and want a more repeatable head position.

A note on manufacturing

Nokka parts are precision 3D printed in Australia. As with any 3D-printed part, small cosmetic variations — faint layer lines or slight surface-texture differences between batches — can occur. These are normal for the process and do not affect fit or function.

Common questions

How much does it raise my comb?
It raises the comb 18–24 mm, and that range is adjustable — dial it to your exact scope height rather than buying a fixed Low/Medium/High piece and hoping it lands right.

Will this fit my Tikka T3, T3x or T1x?
Yes — designed for the OEM stocks on all three platforms (including the T3x Lite, which shares the sporter stock geometry). It mounts with superglue or double-sided tape — no drilling and no permanent modification.

Is this a Tikka T3x cheek riser, a cheek piece or a cheek rest?
All three names describe the same part. This is a drop-comb Tikka cheek riser (also called a cheek piece or cheek rest), made for the Tikka T3, T3x and T1x OEM stocks.

How do I hold it in place to test the position first?
Use a small piece of tape folded back on itself (sticky side out), or a blob of Blu-Tack, to hold the riser on the comb temporarily. Shoulder the rifle with your actual scope and rings fitted and check where your cheek naturally lands — the reticle should simply be there when your head settles, without lifting or rolling. Slide the riser forward or back until it's right, mark the position, then bond it properly. Always find the position before you reach for the glue.

How does it attach to my stock?
You position it on the comb of the OEM stock, set it to your ideal cheek-weld height, then fix it in place with superglue or double-sided tape — no drilling. We personally use superglue: it holds really well and can be removed later if needed. If you prefer tape, pick one rated as removable — some heavy-duty double-sided tapes are very hard to get off.

Is the bond permanent? Can I get the riser off later?
No, it's not permanent — and yes, you can. A superglue bond holds firmly through recoil and normal field use, but it's breakable: with steady, patient pressure the riser will come away from the stock if you change scopes, rebuild your setup or sell the rifle. That's deliberate. The one thing to avoid is a heavy-duty double-sided tape not rated as removable — those can form a bond that's very hard to break without marking the stock.

Is the adhesive included?
No — we're unable to include adhesive in the kit, so you'll need your own superglue or double-sided tape. Both are available from any hardware store or supermarket, wherever you are in the world.

Why doesn't it screw on?
Because everyone's ideal riser position is slightly different, screw-fitting would mean drilling multiple holes in your stock to get the position right. Feedback from early customers was clear that nobody wants to drill an OEM stock, so the riser mounts with adhesive instead — no holes, and removable.

What scope mounts and objective sizes does it work with?
Optimised for medium/high mounts with 50–56 mm objective lenses. Low rings with a compact 42–44 mm objective are often fine on the factory comb; medium/high rings, a 20 MOA rail, or big glass are exactly where you'll want the rise.

Can I still remove the bolt with it fitted?
Yes — it mounts far enough back to clear the bolt, so you can strip and clean without removing the cheek rest.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Available shipping options and any duties/taxes are shown in cart/checkout before payment. See our shipping policy for details.
